Wednesday December 16th IFAD was present at the ACFSC at Oksbol Barracks to deliver the latest update to the IFACTS simulation and training system. This delivery was the result of a follow-on contract awarded to IFAD by ACFSC and the Danish Acquisition and Logistics Organisation (DALO). The delivery also included an update to the integrated F-16 ACT simulator.

All-in-One FAC and AO training solution

Significant new features and training options has been added to the IFACTS solution to make it an ‘All-in-One’ FAC and AO training solution. This will increase the value for ACFSC and the students being trained as Forward Air Controllers (FAC) or artillery observers (AO).

The All-in-One FAC and AO solution enables ACFSC to execute all of the basic training for FACs and AOs on the IFACTS system prior to going into the field and conduct live training.

IFACTS supports training and education of students in the classroom in a realistic life like environment prior to their live fire exercises. It saves crucial resources, and at the same time creates a firm foundation for evaluation of the individual students' abilities in respect to act as FAC and/or AO in the future.

Based on the new features IFACTS supports the increased focus of Danish Defence on Joint Operations. With IFACTS a variety of Joint Operation scenarios can be trained. IFACTS therefore adds extra value to the training and the following live exercises.
