News release on visit of Defense Minster Trine Bramsen

The Minister received a briefing on IFAD and our Defence related activities. She expressed the importance of increasing the utilization of simulation in the Danish Defence.

Education and training based on simulation is an effective, safe and secure training vehicle and a green technology that provides substantial economic and environmental savings.

We are very pleased that the Minister gave us a visit despite her busy schedule. In addition, we are very pleased that the Minister shares our point of views in respect to the importance of using simulation as a training vehicle, and that a close collaboration between Danish Defence and the Danish Defence Industry is very important.

"We have a strong business community in Odense. One of our exciting companies is IFAD TS A/S. In IFAD, sharp personnel develop simulations that the Defense Department uses for training - everything from helicopter flying over the North Sea to firing missiles. As a city we can be proud of IFAD. The company creates jobs, contributes to the security of the kingdom and develops green solutions. And their unique products are in demand in many countries. Our good defense minister Trine Bramsen was also there today. The Minister has a strong focus on how companies such as IFAD get better opportunities for exports through cooperation with The Danish Armed Forces. Great support for that effort. Because we need to create jobs and growth together."
